Rian Reza Panjaitan, mahasiswa Program Studi S1 Agronomi, Departemen Budidaya Pertanian, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Gadjah Mada, terpilih sebagai peserta Digistar Class Intern (DCI), sebuah program pengembangan talenta digital yang diselenggarakan oleh Telkom Indonesia. Program ini bertujuan mencetak sumber daya manusia unggul melalui pelatihan intensif dan pengalaman kerja langsung di berbagai unit TelkomGroup.

Selama enam bulan, peserta DCI mendapatkan kesempatan untuk mengikuti mentoring langsung dari para ahli industri, serta terlibat dalam proyek nyata di berbagai unit kerja TelkomGroup. M. Rian Reza Panjaitan, an undergraduate Agronomy student from the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, was selected as a participant in the Digistar Class Intern (DCI) Program, a digital talent development initiative organized by Telkom Indonesia. The program aims to develop high-quality human resources through intensive training and hands-on work experience across various units within TelkomGroup.

Over a six-month period, DCI participants received direct mentoring from industry professionals and were actively involved in real-world projects across multiple TelkomGroup divisions. In addition to developing technical competencies in areas such as Business to Business services, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud Computing, the program also emphasized soft skill development through training sessions focused on self-growth, communication, and career planning. read more

A Master’s student in Agronomy from the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Lailan Aulia Nadhiroh, successfully participated in the international SUIJI-JP-MS Program (Six University Initiative Japan-Indonesia Joint Program for Master’s Students) in Japan. An undergraduate Agronomy student from the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Hanif Falah Nasrulloh, was selected to participate in the international SUIJI Service Learning Program (SUIJI-SLP) 2025 in Japan. The program is a collaborative initiative between universities in Japan and Indonesia that integrates academic learning with community service activities in the field of sustainable agriculture.

Hanif explained that he had prepared for the program well in advance by actively seeking information, discussing with previous participants, and carefully preparing the required documents. He emphasized that early planning, proactive communication, and continuous monitoring of program updates were key factors in the selection process. read more

The Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, organized a manuscript review session for the Vegetalika Journal, held at the Venture Room on the sixth floor of the AGLC Building, Faculty of Agriculture UGM. This activity was conducted as part of ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance the quality of scientific publications in the Vegetalika Journal.

The event commenced with opening remarks by the Head of the Department of Agronomy, Rani Agustina Wulandari, S.P., M.P., Ph.D., who expressed appreciation for the active involvement of reviewers in refining manuscripts prior to publication. This was followed by remarks from the Editor-in-Chief of the Vegetalika Journal, Widhi Dyah Sawitri, S.Si., M.Agr., Ph.D., who highlighted the importance of collective contributions from the academic community in sustaining and improving journal quality. read more

Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari upaya menjaga dan meningkatkan kualitas publikasi ilmiah di Jurnal Vegetalika.

Acara dibuka dengan sambutan oleh Ketua Departemen Budidaya Pertanian, Rani Agustina Wulandari, S.P., M.P., Ph.D., yang mengapresiasi kehadiran dan keterlibatan reviewer dalam proses penyempurnaan naskah sebelum diterbitkan. Yogyakarta, 15 August 2025. The Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, participated in the 2025 Internal Quality Audit conducted offline at Classrooms 4, 5, and 6 of the AGLC Building, Faculty of Agriculture UGM. The Internal Quality Audit aims to assess the achievement of academic quality standards and serves as a mechanism for continuous improvement in higher education governance, particularly at the department level as the academic program management unit.

The audit was attended by department administrators, heads of study programs, academic staff, administrative personnel, and student representatives from the Agronomy Undergraduate Program, the Master’s Program in Agronomy, and the Master’s Program in Plant Breeding. The internal audit team from Universitas Gadjah Mada consisted of Ir. Vendy Eko Prasetyo, S.Hut., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPM., ASEAN Eng., and apt. Dyaningtyas Dewi Pamungkas Putri, M.Sc., Ph.D., for the Undergraduate Agronomy Program. Auditors for the Master’s Program in Agronomy were Dr. Sapto Indrioko, M.P., and Dr. Desy Putri Handayani, S.Pi., while the Master’s Program in Plant Breeding was audited by Zuliyati Rohmah, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., and Dr. Ir. Bambang Triyatmo, M.P. Throughout the audit process, the team evaluated key indicators including curriculum implementation, learning processes, facilities, as well as research and community service activities. read more
