Kulon Progo, 16 May 2025 — The Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, carried out a visitation and evaluation activity for students taking part in the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) internship program (BKP Magang) at Wanadelima Orchard, Kulon Progo. The aim of this activity was to observe directly the implementation of the internship, evaluate the students’ learning outcomes, and strengthen the partnership between the academic institution and the partner organization. read more

Yogyakarta, 9 May 2025 — The Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada held a Buper Practice event under the theme “Profit Field with Chrysanthemum Business: Chrysanthemum Cultivation and “Hamper” Creations. The activity was participated by general members of the public and educational staff (tendik) from the Faculty of Agriculture UGM who were interested in exploring deeper the business potential of ornamental plant cultivation, especially chrysanthemums. The main speaker was Yusuf M. Alfarih, S.P., owner of the business Kembang Djaya, who shared knowledge and direct experience in cultivating chrysanthemums and processing them into value-added products. read more

Kediri, 5 May 2025 — The supervising lecturers from the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada conducted an evaluation visit of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) internship program at PT BISI Tbk. The visit began with a meeting with representatives of PT BISI Tbk, namely Budi Santoso, S.P., M.Sc., who serves as the Coordinator of the MBKM Internship program and is also the breeder for legume, leafy vegetable, and eggplant cultivars. Five students from the Faculty of Agriculture UGM who are currently doing the MBKM internship at that company also attended the meeting.  read more

Yogyakarta, 3–4 Mei 2025 — Kementerian Keprofesian dan Karya Mahasiswa (KKM) Ikatan Mahasiswa Agronomi dan Pemuliaan Tanaman (IMAGRO) melaksanakan kegiatan Hands on Training di Sub-Laboratorium Budidaya Jaringan Tanaman, Gedung A2a Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Gadjah Mada. Kegiatan ini bertujuan memperkenalkan sekaligus memperluas wawasan mahasiswa terkait teknik budidaya jaringan tanaman atau kultur jaringan.

Acara yang rutin diselenggarakan dua kali setahun pada bulan Mei dan November ini diikuti dengan antusias oleh para peserta. Dalam sambutannya, Menteri KKM Bidang Kultur Jaringan, Kurnia Wikandanastri, menyampaikan harapan agar pelatihan ini dapat memperluas wawasan serta meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam bidang kultur jaringan. read more

Yogyakarta, 3–4 May 2025 — The Professional and Student Affairs Ministry (KKM) of the Agronomy and Plant Breeding Student Association (IMAGRO) held a Hands-on Training event in the Plant Tissue Culture Sub-Laboratory, Building A2a, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada. The event was intended to introduce and broaden the students’ knowledge about plant tissue culture techniques.

This workshop, which is held regularly twice a year in May and November, was met with enthusiasm by the participants. In her opening remarks, the Minister of KKM for the Tissue Culture Sector, Kurnia Wikandanastri, expressed hope that this training would expand students’ insights and enhance their skills in the field of tissue culture. read more

Yogyakarta, 27 April 2025 — Ikatan Mahasiswa Agronomi dan Pemuliaan Tanaman (IMAGRO) Universitas Gadjah Mada merayakan Dies Natalis ke-43 dalam suasana penuh kekeluargaan dan semangat kolaboratif. Rangkaian peringatan dimulai pada 9 April dan mencapai puncaknya pada 27 April 2025 di Ruang KPTU A1 Lantai 3, Fakultas Pertanian UGM, dengan mengusung tema “Menggapai Asa, Menggenggam Cita dalam Harmoni Kekeluargaan.”

Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh lebih dari 90 peserta, yang terdiri dari pengurus aktif, anggota umum, serta dosen dari Departemen Budidaya Pertanian. Yogyakarta, 27 April 2025 — The Agronomy and Plant Breeding Student Association (IMAGRO) at Universitas Gadjah Mada celebrated its 43rd anniversary in an atmosphere full of warmth and collaborative spirit. The series of commemoration events began on 9 April and reached its peak on 27 April 2025 in room KPTU A1, 3rd Floor, Faculty of Agriculture UGM, under the theme “Reaching Hopes, Holding Dreams in Harmony of Kinship.”

The event was attended by more than 90 participants, including active IMAGRO administrators, general members, and lecturers from the Department of Agronomy. The event opened with remarks from IMAGRO President 2025/2026, Makhasin Suqi Habibi, who expressed gratitude for IMAGRO’s existence as a forum for collaboration and self-development of students over more than four decades. read more

Yogyakarta, 25 April 2025 — The Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, organized a syawalan event with the aim of strengthening bonds of friendship. The event was held at the residence of Dr. Ir. Nasrullah, M.Sc., and Mrs. Ir. Sri Trisnowati, M.Sc. It was attended by members of the academic community from various units, including lecturers, educational staff, and retired educational staff.

This activity became a special moment to ask forgiveness from one another and to strengthen the sense of family within the Department of Plant Cultivation. read more
