In this period, one student from the Agronomy undergraduate program was officially yudisiumed, marking an academic achievement and a first step toward the professional world in the field of agriculture.

The ceremony was solemn and attended by faculty members and educational staff of the Department of Agronomy. In her remarks, Dr. Erlina Ambarwati, S.P., M.P., representing the lecturers, extended her congratulations to Fatmawati, the only Agronomy student being yudisiumed in this period, who earned a distinction (“cum laude”). She expressed hope that Fatmawati will achieve success in the future, and continue to uphold values such as honesty, diligence, and lifelong passion for learning.

Dr. Erlina emphasized that writing a thesis is not only about academic substance, but also a way to train soft skills such as time management, emotional control, and interpersonal skills. She also reminded graduates not to forget their alma mater, not to be easily satisfied, and to keep improving themselves in the working world. In ending her speech, Dr. Erlina, together with Mr. Taryono as thesis supervisor, asked forgiveness for any shortcomings during the supervision process and hoped that the knowledge gained will be useful going forward.

Meanwhile, Fatmawati, the student who was yudisiumed, also gave a speech full of gratitude for the opportunity to participate in this event. She thanked the lecturers, administrative staff, and educational staff for their guidance and support throughout her study. She acknowledges that yudisium is not the end of the journey, but rather the beginning of stepping into a broader world with the knowledge she has acquired.

She committed to continue learning, developing, and contributing in a real way, especially in the agricultural sector which is important for the sustainability of the nation. Fatmawati also asked for prayers so she may face the next stage with enthusiasm, responsibility, and integrity, and asked forgiveness for any shortcomings during her time as a student. She concluded her speech with a hope that the Department of Agronomy continues to grow and produce graduates who are competent and dedicated for the advancement of agriculture in Indonesia.

The yudisium ceremony reflects the Department of Agronomy’s commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 4: Quality Education, through a high-quality and sustainable education process. By graduating young generations who are competent and dedicated, the department hopes to play an active role in sustainable agricultural development and in the welfare of the broader community.
