Department of Agronomy Graduates 6 Students in Yudisium Period April 2025

Yogyakarta, 17 April 2025 — The Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, UGM, held the undergraduate and master’s yudisium for the April 2025 period. A total of 6 students qualified: 4 students from the S1 Agronomy program and 2 students from the Master of Agronomy program. The event was attended by the Chair, Secretary, and the lecturers of the Department of Agronomy.

Valentina Dwi Suci Handayani, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D., speaking on behalf of the Department’s lecturers, expressed pride in the achievements of the graduates, especially one master’s student who became the fastest to graduate. In her remarks, Valentina stressed the importance of finishing what one has begun, in line with the principles held dear by the larger Kagama family.

She commended all students for their hard work and referred to them as exceptional individuals who will one day be colleagues and part of the Universitas Gadjah Mada family. On behalf of the faculty, she also asked for forgiveness for any words or behaviors that may have unintentionally caused discomfort during the learning process. She affirmed that all lecturers always strive to accompany students so that they may grow and learn to their fullest.

As a closing, Valentina urged the graduates to keep up the spirit of perseverance, because completing one’s education is not the end but the beginning of a larger journey.

Sandi Gunawan, speaking on behalf of the students, delivered impressions and messages as they concluded their period of study. Sandi offered heartfelt thanks to the lecturers for their knowledge, guidance, and advice during their education, and also asked for forgiveness for any mistakes in word or deed during their years of study. Appreciation was also given to the administrative staff who supported the smooth running of academic administration.

Sandi also urged his fellow graduates to always uphold the good name of their alma mater, manners, and integrity wherever they go. In closing, he reminded everyone not to underestimate their own achievements but to be grateful for them as part of the process they have gone through together.

This yudisium is a demonstration of the Department of Agronomy’s support for SDG 4, namely ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all students.
