Five Undergraduate Students from the Department of Agronomy Participate in the January I 2025 Yudisium

Yogyakarta, 17 January 2025 — The Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, UGM, held the January 2025 yudisium ceremony for five undergraduate students in Agronomy on 17 January 2025 in the Multimedia Room, Building A2a, Floor 1, Faculty of Agriculture UGM. The event was attended by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Agriculture, the Chair, Secretary, and lecturers of the Department of Agronomy.

Dody Kastono, S.P., M.P., as a representative of the department’s lecturers, offered congratulations and shared a message to the students who have completed their studies. In his speech, Dody urged the participants of the yudisium to prepare themselves for entering the competitive world of work. He also encouraged that the knowledge gained during their education continue to be developed.

He added that he and the other lecturers in the Department of Agronomy are only tasked with giving guidance, while the students themselves will determine their own paths.

“We are in a stage full of ups and downs, do not rush and increase our self-confidence to face them,” he emphasized.

Zulaikha Nur Cahyanti, representing the students, expressed gratitude to the lecturers, staff, and laboratory assistants who have guided and helped a lot during their time in college. Zulaikha also apologized for any mistakes or shortcomings during their education. As a closing, she congratulated her fellow yudisium participants and invited them to use the knowledge they’ve gained to make a real contribution in society.

“Today is not the end of the educational journey, but the beginning of a new journey filled with challenges and hope. From here valuable provisions are obtained that will guide us to navigate life ahead, which is full of struggle,” she added.

The yudisium implementation demonstrates the Department of Agronomy’s support for SDG 4, which is ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all students.
